I Flipping Love You

Quick & Dirty summary: Rian Sutter and her twin sister are on the verge of moving to their next goal in life, flipping houses. They just need to sell a few more homes and they’ll have enough cash to buy and fix-up a house in the hot Hamptons real estate market. But when Rian’s sister scratches an expensive car, and the owner of the damaged car corners Rian in the grocery store, their goal may be put on hold unless Rian can negotiate a good deal. Luckily Pierce Whitfield can’t seem to keep his eyes off Rian. After a big of negotiation, the two settle, but life keeps throwing them together. The chemistry between Rian and Pierce is off-the-charts, but Rian is afraid that if her and her sister’s secrets come out, Pierce will leave and their careers will be ruined. Rian’s not sure she can risk letting some one close when her and her sister’s dreams are so close to coming true.

First, if you’ll notice, my summary is NOT like the summary on Amazon. This is primarily because the summary on Amazon is misleading. I don’t like enemies to lovers stories. I don’t even like frenemies to lovers stories, so I was worried I wasn’t going to like this one. But that’s not really the central theme of the plot. So I changed the summary in my review to reflect what I think is more accurate.

Second, I really enjoy this book. It was a fast read for me because I couldn’t put it down. It reminded me of all the reasons I love Helena Hunting’s writing and even caused me to buy another book, Shacking Up, since it was on sale. The dialogue is probably one of my favorite things about Hunting’s books and this one does not disappoint. There are a lot of funny moments in this book, but also a lot of sweet ones.

Third, and last, the sex scenes in this book are hot. If you’re not a fan of sex scenes, you might want to skip this book, and any other book by Helena Hunting. But her characters have great chemistry together. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Rian’s twin sister. I’m definitely going to keep reading.

Is it worth buying? ($4.99 Kindle)

If you’ve read other books by Helena Hunting then this one will be well worth the five bucks. If you are new to Helena’s work, I’d recommend trying the library. I think her books aren’t necessarily for everyone, and at $5, it would suck if you didn’t like it.

Something else you might enjoy:

If you’d like to jump into a different sub-genre of romance, try Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. The heroine of this story also has a secret. There is tons of chemistry between the main characters. And it’s the first book of a great series.
