Follow the metal band, Sinners, as they tour the country and overcoming career destroying accidents. As they build on their success, they find love and have tons and tons of sex. These novels are erotica at their finest, meaning there are tons of exciting scenes intermixed with a solid storyline and interesting characters. Each of the books takes on some aspect or fetish within the sensual realm, so there are some books you may enjoy more than others depending on your tastes. Almost all of the stories include some component of voyeurism, exhibitionism, and threesomes. To me, the sweetest story was Wicked Beat with Rebekah and Eric, with Brian and Myrna in Backstage Pass coming in a close second. The hardest for me to take was Double Time because the storyline seemed a little rushed and weak compared to the other novels and Hot Ticket because I don’t really understand the whole need to have pain in order have pleasure thing. Despite that, I still enjoyed the entire series.
Each novel is a standalone with a happy ending. There is no cheating and no unexpected pregnancy scares.
Here’s a quick & dirty summary:
Backstage Pass tells the story of Brian Sinclair, guitar legend, and Myrna Evans, psychology professor. Myrna is instantly attracted to Brian, largely because she loves metal music and is an expert on male sexuality as expressed through guitar riffs. Brian likes Myrna because she’s hot, but he’s also hoping she can look past his famous persona, Master Sinclair, to love Brian. (Threesome)
Rock Hard follows lead singer Sid Lionheart as he is reunited with his ex-finance Jessica, who dumped him in order to follow her dreams to law school. Sid has been a dick ever since, taking it out on Brian by stealing all of his girlfriends. But Jessica isn’t interested in reuniting with Sid, she’s just looking for some great sex and is planning on dumping Sid before he can do any more damage to her heart. In the process, Jessica and Sid learn a little more about each other and discover that their love is still as strong as ever. (Exhibitionism)
Hot Ticket reveals the major trauma that bassist Jace Seymour has experienced as he connects with dominatrix Aggie. Aggie quickly realizes that her attraction to Jace is worth fighting for and does everything within her power to help Jace heal from his past. Jace and Aggie follow the BDSM lifestyle, without degradation or blood. (BDSM)
Wicked Beat introduces Rebekah Blake to the bus tour, taking over from her brother who was paralyzed in a bus accident. Rebekah is the new soundboard operator and is excited at not only the professional opportunity, but the personal opportunity to get closer to Trey. However, it isn’t Trey that she experiences red-hot attraction to but drummer Eric Sticks. Eric knows a good thing when he sees it and will do whatever he can to keep Rebekah all to himself. (Role Playing)
Double Time finally settles Trey Mills sexuality once and for all. Trey seems to attract and pleasure people of all types, men included. But when he swears off men, Reagan Elliot is the perfect woman to keep him on the straight and narrow. The only problem is Reagan’s smoking hot ex-boyfriend and bodyguard Eric. Once Trey and Reagan both come to the realization Trey is truly bisexual, they invite Eric to complete their triad of love. (Threesome & m/m sex)
Is it worth buying? (Kindle $8.49 for the box set)
Yes, I think it is absolutely worth buying, especially if you like variety in erotica.
Something else you might enjoy:
Rock Chick Reckoning is the sixth book in the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley and I’m recommending it because it turns the rock star trope on its head. The rock star in this book is Stella, the lead singer for the band The Blue Moon Gypsies. While it’s not erotica, it is still hot and music is at the heart of the novel.
